In the second quarter of 2025, the performance of the top five communication apps in Slovenia showed varied trends across weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, according to data from Sensor Tower.

WhatsApp Messenger maintained a consistent presence with weekly downloads fluctuating between 1.9K and 2.9K. Active users peaked at around 588K in mid-June, demonstrating a strong user base throughout the quarter.

Rakuten Viber Messenger experienced stable revenue, averaging around $800 per week, with a notable increase to $951 in mid-May. Downloads showed a slight increase towards the end of the quarter, reaching 1.4K. Active users started at approximately 508K, slightly decreasing to around 474K by the end of June.

Snapchat saw a peak in revenue at $5.6K in late April, while downloads gradually increased to 1.3K by the end of June. Active users remained relatively stable, hovering around 240K throughout the quarter.

Messenger had minimal revenue impact, with downloads ranging from 821 to 1K weekly. Active users varied slightly, peaking at 331K in late June.

Telegram experienced fluctuations in revenue, notably reaching $2.3K at the end of April. Downloads remained consistent around 1.2K to 1.8K. Active users showed a significant increase towards the end of June, reaching over 113K.
